As an essential component of the Ajax security system, it ensures you are instantly alerted to any smoke or dangerous temperature spikes. Photoelectric Chamber and Thermistor

The device detects smoke using a highly sensitive photoelectric chamber. However, if a fire starts without producing visible smoke (such as burning synthetic materials), the detector will still trigger the alarm thanks to its built-in thermistor. This sensor reacts instantly if the room temperature rapidly spikes or crosses the 54°C threshold.

Standalone Mode and Interconnected Alarms

FireProtect is equipped with its own 85 dB siren, meaning it can function as a standalone unit even without an Ajax Hub. However, pairing it with the Hub unlocks smart push notifications and the interconnected alarm feature. If one sensor in the house detects smoke, it will automatically trigger the sirens of all other fire detectors in your network, ensuring everyone wakes up.
