HeatIT Z-Push: Push-button Controller for System 55 Frames

HeatIT Z-Push switches are a great way to add a physical wireless switch anywhere in your home without the need to cut walls and run wiring. The build quality of these devices is excellent. The buttons are sturdy and provide clear tactile feedback.

These controllers are designed to fit perfectly into System 55 format frames (such as Elko, Schneider Exxact, Gira). This allows you to easily insert them into a shared multi-gang frame alongside your existing standard switches, ensuring a perfect, seamless design.

Installation and Use Without Wiring

Nothing protrudes from the back of the controllers, so they can be stuck (using double-sided tape) directly onto plaster, tiles, or glass – even where there is no junction box. Of course, they also feature screw holes for mounting directly onto a junction box (for example, as a replacement for a standard switch that you no longer use and behind which you have hidden a smart relay module).

Z-Wave Associations with Dimming Functionality

A massive advantage of this controller is how it handles direct Z-Wave associations with other modules. The association operates as a pair for ON (turn on - pressing the top part I) and OFF (turn off - pressing the bottom part O).

An even more important feature is that the controller also supports the press-and-hold function. Simply put: if you just click the button (I / O), the associated light turns on or off. If you hold the button, the associated light will smoothly dim or brighten. This also applies to blind control, where a short press sends the blind up/down, and holding tilts the slats.

Central Scene Control

The buttons can, of course, also be used to activate complex scenes in your smart home controller (FIBARO, Homey). A response to both clicking and holding is available for each part of the button. For instance, with button I, you can activate a 'Welcome Home' day scene (turning on lights, lowering blinds, turning on heating), and by holding O, trigger a 'Good Night' scene.
