MCO Thermostats Power Consumption Reporting in FIBARO

If you use MCO Home thermostats in your FIBARO Smart Home (HC3 / HC3 lite) and want accurate information about the electrical power consumption during heating, this virtual device (QA - Quick App) is the perfect solution.

After uploading the QA to your system, you simply enter the thermostat's ID and define the total wattage (W) of the heating mat/circuit connected to it. You can usually find this value in your technical heating project. The QA will then start measuring consumption every time the thermostat activates the heating relay. The calculated consumption is automatically logged into the FIBARO energy panel. The device appears in the system as a standard relay, and its icon can be customized.

How to Install the QA?

After purchasing this product, you will receive an email containing a .fqa file. You upload this file directly into your FIBARO controller and perform a basic configuration.

Do You Have Multiple Thermostats?

No problem. Once purchased, you can use this QA for all your MCO thermostats in your system. You just install the file as many times as the number of thermostats you have. You do not need to purchase a separate QA for each thermostat.

Notice for FIBARO HC3 lite owners: The HC3 Lite gateway limits the total number of Quick Apps to 5. Since this QA calculates consumption for each room individually, the maximum number of thermostats you can add (assuming no other QAs are installed) is 5. This limitation does not apply to the full HC3 controller.

• Notice 1: This QA does not add a physical hardware power meter to the thermostat. It calculates consumption mathematically (configured heater wattage multiplied by the exact time the thermostat is actively heating).
• Notice 2: The physical MCO thermostat is not included in the price of this software product.
