Homey Video Course: How to Setup Water-Based Underfloor Heating
In this video course (spoken in Slovak), you will find answers to the most crucial questions regarding the management of zoned heating in the Homey controller.
What will you learn?
- How to link a temperature sensor (e.g., from an Aeotec motion sensor) with a relay switch module that physically opens the heating valve inside the Homey hub.
- How to create fully functional zoned regulation for water-based underfloor heating systems.
- How to configure this setup to provide you with a simple 'virtual thermostat' directly in the app.
At the end of this configuration, you will simply set your target temperature in the app, and Homey will take care of the rest. It will evaluate the difference between the target and current room temperature, automatically opening or closing the heating valves. Bonus: This method completely bypasses the need to write any custom Flows (automation rules).
