🌐 Control Your Garage Door From Anywhere

The SmartWise WiFi smart garage door controller transforms your motorized garage door or sliding gate (operated by an RF remote or a wall button) into a smart gate. You can then remotely open, close, automate, and monitor it directly using the app on your smartphone.

The SmartWise system is compatible with the vast majority of garage door operators where opening and closing are controlled by the same button using a voltage-free pulse (known as a dry contact).

The SmartWise garage door opener connects directly to your home Wi-Fi network, is managed using the highly popular Sonoff eWeLink app, and integrates with the free IFTTT automation platform. Naturally, it also provides full support for voice control via Google Home and Amazon Alexa. For example, you can set up a geofencing automation to open your garage door automatically when you approach your house.

In the eWeLink app (available for free for iOS and Android), you can always see the real-time status of your door (Open/Closed) thanks to the included wired magnetic sensor. You can easily share access to the gate with your entire family via the app.

Installation and Wiring Options

• 🔌 Direct Connection to the Motor Board: The most common wiring, connecting to the terminals reserved for an external wall button.
• 🔧 Parallel Connection to a Wall Switch: If wiring into the existing wall button is easier and physically closer.
• 📡 Direct Connection to an RF Remote: If physical wiring to the motor is impossible, the relay can be soldered to the button contacts of a spare disassembled remote control.

Garage Controller Kit Contents

• 📶 SmartWise Relay: Opens and closes the garage door using a voltage-free dry contact pulse. The relay connects to the Sonoff/eWeLink server via your Wi-Fi router.
• 🧲 Magnetic Door Status Sensor (with a long cable): Consists of two parts; one attaches to the fixed wall, the other to the moving door. It provides the actual physical status of the gate in the app.
• 🔌 USB Power Cable: Used to power the relay (requires a standard 5V/1A USB power adapter).
• 🔩 Mounting Accessories: Screws and adhesive tapes for mounting the sensor and the relay.
