The Smartwise MS1 Zigbee Rain Sensor is designed for smart scenes and smart home automation, such as controlling motorized roof windows, blinds, awnings, or irrigation systems. The sensor sends instant notifications via eWeLink, SmartThings, or other compatible platforms, allowing you to remotely monitor current weather and precipitation status.

The sensor utilizes Zigbee communication technology, ensuring energy-efficient operation and a stable wireless connection. To function, it requires a Zigbee gateway (hub), such as the SONOFF Zigbee Bridge, an eWeLink-compatible gateway or Tuya, another supported Zigbee hub, or a Home Assistant system. The sensor can be integrated into various automation scenarios, enabling automatic window closing, turning off irrigation, or triggering an alert upon rain detection.

The IP66-rated casing is suitable for outdoor use, providing protection against rain and severe weather. Its special UV-resistant design ensures a longer lifespan when installed outdoors. Thanks to its compact dimensions, you can easily install it on balconies, roofs, near windows, or even by gutters.

The highly sensitive detection area allows the sensor to record even a small amount of moisture. The eWeLink app provides an event history and automation features, making it easy to integrate the system into a comprehensive smart home environment. The device is also fully compatible with Zigbee2MQTT.
