The Heatit Z-Temp3 is a modern battery-powered thermostat designed for zoned control of water-based heating systems (radiators, hydronic underfloor heating). It communicates completely wirelessly, eliminating the need to run new cables and chisel walls.
Wireless Connectivity & Associations
The thermostat itself doesn’t directly switch a high-voltage load; it sends wireless commands to a relay module. Paired with devices like the Heatit Z-Water2, Heatit ZM Single Relay, or other Z-Wave relays, you can switch boiler or underfloor heating zones. The thermostat supports Z-Wave associations, allowing it to control heating relays directly even if the main smart home hub is offline.
Design & Power Options
This elegant black device features a clear LCD display and perfectly fits into standard System 55 frames. You can mount it directly onto the wall alongside standard light switches or simply place it free-standing on a desk or shelf.
The Heatit Z-Temp3 operates primarily on 2x AAA batteries. However, if you wish to avoid battery replacements entirely, you can hardwire the thermostat using an optional in-wall DC adapter (Heatit Transformer, sold separately).
