Enhance your wireless frient Water Leak Detector with this small yet incredibly useful accessory—the frient Water Leak Detector Probe. The probe is specifically designed for use in areas at risk of massive flooding or high water levels (e.g., basements, laundry rooms, utility rooms), which could permanently damage and short-circuit the main Zigbee sensor unit itself.

How Does it Work?

Instead of placing the physical Zigbee sensor directly on the floor, you clip it into the special holder integrated with the probe. You then simply stick or screw this holder high up on the wall (safely out of the expected floodwater zone). The cable with the sensitive measuring tip is then dropped directly down to the floor. It's fast and incredibly effective. As soon as water touches the probe's contacts, the main sensor module beams a warning signal to your Smart Home gateway.

Compatibility

This accessory does not communicate wirelessly on its own; it serves exclusively as an extension to a compatible frient Zigbee flood sensor. For full functionality, the main sensor must be connected to a smart hub like Homey or the Aeotec SmartThings Hub.
