Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 (mmWave / Zone Tracking)

The most advanced presence sensor on the market is completely rewriting the rules of smart home automation. Unlike standard infrared PIR sensors, the Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 utilizes military-grade millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar technology. Not only can it detect you while you are sleeping or sitting perfectly still reading a book, but a single sensor can blanket a massive 40 m² room and simultaneously track the exact coordinates of up to 5 individual people in real time.

Precision Zone Positioning

This single sensor can effectively replace a dozen standard motion sensors. Through the app, you can map out your living space and divide the room into up to 30 distinct tracking zones (e.g., the sofa, the dining table, the entryway). This allows for genius-level automation: If someone sits in the 'Sofa' zone, the system turns on a dim reading light. If another person walks into the 'Kitchen' zone, the over-counter lights blast on. The FP2 always knows exactly where you are and if you are still in the room.

Fall Detection and Illuminance Sensor

When mounted to the ceiling (at a height of approx. 2.5 - 2.8 meters), the FP2 unlocks a vital health feature: Human Fall Detection with over 98% accuracy. If an elderly family member suddenly collapses within the sensor's radius, it bypasses normal routines and instantly pushes a critical emergency alert to your phone. Alongside the radar, the FP2 features a built-in light (Lux) sensor, allowing you to trigger lighting automations only when the room is naturally dark.

Direct Wi-Fi Connectivity (Local Processing)

Unlike most of the Aqara lineup, the flagship FP2 sensor does not require a Zigbee hub. It connects directly to your home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Despite being a Wi-Fi device, it guarantees absolute privacy—processing presence data locally rather than farming it out to the cloud. It features flawless, native integration into Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. The device operates on continuous power via an included 5V USB-C cable and is IPX5 rated against moisture (making it perfect for bathroom installations).
