This is one of the first devices in the world to natively support the revolutionary Matter over Thread technology.
Synergy of Motion and Illuminance
Combining a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and a light meter into a single compact shell opens up incredible energy-saving automations. You can set conditional smart rules: For example, the hallway lights will ONLY turn on when motion is detected IF the built-in light meter registers that the room is actually dark. Furthermore, it serves as a highly reliable security monitor, instantly pushing alerts to your phone if an intruder is detected.
Extreme Range and a 360° Articulating Stand
With an ultra-wide detection angle of 170° and a throw distance of up to 7 meters, a single sensor can cover an enormous living space. The box includes a versatile, 360-degree articulating mounting bracket. Using the included adhesive, you can stick the sensor to walls, ceilings, or cabinets, aiming the lens precisely at your desired trigger zone while avoiding false alarms from adjacent rooms.
The Future is Now: Thread and Matter
The P2 leaves legacy protocols behind, operating on the lightning-fast, locally-processed Thread mesh network. To use this sensor, you MUST have a Thread Border Router (Matter Controller)—such as the Aqara Hub M3, or certified hub devices from Apple (like the HomePod) or Google. Because it speaks the universal language of Matter, this sensor drops effortlessly into Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings without complex workarounds.
