Revolutionary Feature: With or Without Neutral

Historically, the biggest headache with smart lighting was choosing the correct module based on your home's wiring. Legacy homes often lack a neutral wire behind the switch, while modern builds include it. The Aqara H2 solves this completely—this single device supports both installation methods! The internal hardware automatically detects the wiring configuration (connecting the Neutral wire unlocks active power consumption metering).

Dual Protocols: Thread and Zigbee

Out of the box, the switch communicates via the two most vital smart home networks:

• Matter over Thread: Connects directly to a Thread Border Router (no Aqara hub required) for flawless native integration into Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings.
• Zigbee 3.0: Ensures classic reliability and access to granular configurations in the Aqara Home app. When wired with a Neutral, it functions as a robust Zigbee mesh signal repeater.
