The FIBARO Flood Sensor is a technologically advanced and aesthetically flawless water leak detector. It is designed to be placed in areas where water leaks are a high risk but cannot be visually inspected every day (under the bathtub, behind the washing machine, or next to the dishwasher). The moment it detects even a single drop of water, it instantly triggers a local acoustic alarm, and your smart home hub can automatically execute rescue scenarios—such as shutting off the main water valve via a smart shut-off device.

Design Inspired by a Water Droplet

The design of this module was inspired by a perfect drop of water. Because the shape of a drop is flawless, the sensor is manufactured from high-quality, glossy white plastic and perfected in every detail. The device is incredibly compact (only 72 mm in diameter) and looks unobtrusive on the floor. Alongside its elegant design, it features an LED diode that shifts colors to visually inform you of the security status or ambient temperature.

Gold-Plated Telescopic Probes

The flood sensor is equipped with three ultra-sensitive probes plated in 24-karat gold. Thanks to a clever telescopic mechanism, the probes easily adapt and ensure solid contact even on uneven surfaces (such as grout lines between tiles). The gold plating protects the probes from corrosion and guarantees instantaneous water detection.

Temperature Measurement and Tamper Protection

The module features an integrated temperature sensor. This allows the system to warn you of extreme freezing conditions (risk of bursting pipes in the basement) or rapid temperature spikes (risk of fire). The sensor also includes a built-in Tamper switch—if someone lifts or kicks the device, you receive a push notification immediately.

Wired and Wireless Operation

The sensor can be powered completely wirelessly via the included battery (lasting up to 2 years), or it can be permanently hardwired to a 12/24V DC power supply. When hardwired, it provides output terminals to connect directly into any traditional wired home alarm system. In this mode, the battery acts as a backup power source in case of a blackout.
