The Satel Agate is a professional-grade curtain motion detector designed specifically for the perimeter protection of properties. It secures the immediate boundary just outside your windows, balcony doors, garage entrances, or along fences. Unlike traditional wide-angle PIR sensors, the Satel Agate projects a highly focused, narrow vertical beam—an invisible light curtain. This ensures that an intruder is detected the absolute second they cross the boundary line, long before they actually break into the building.

Grade 3 Maximum Security Standard

The engineering and underlying technology of the AGATE detector meet the exceptionally strict requirements of the European EN 50131-2-4 standard for Grade 3 security. Therefore, the device is suitable for securing high-risk commercial premises requiring rigorous protection, such as jewelry stores, banks, and government buildings. Its advanced detection algorithms also feature pet immunity, ignoring small animals passing through the zone to drastically reduce false alarms.

Active Anti-Masking Technology

The detector incorporates an active infrared anti-masking feature. The system will instantly detect and trigger a tamper alarm if an intruder attempts to "blind" or sabotage the lens by:

• Covering it with a solid object, cardboard, or a hand.
• Taping over the lens with clear or opaque adhesive tape.
• Spraying the lens with clear lacquer or thick paint.

Integration into Smart Home Systems

While this is a hardwired sensor primarily intended for professional alarm control panels, with a bit of DIY skill, it can be seamlessly integrated into wireless smart home systems like FIBARO or Homey. To achieve this, simply wire a FIBARO Smart Implant module (sold separately) to the detector's outputs. This allows you to monitor perimeter breaches instantly from your smartphone's smart home app.
