Create a truly smart home quickly, affordably, and reliably. The FIBARO Home Center 3 Lite is a scaled-down, highly budget-friendly version of the flagship Home Center 3. It is explicitly designed for apartments, smaller houses, or summer cabins where you want to control heating, lighting, blinds, and basic security, but do not need to connect hundreds of separate smart devices.

Z-Wave 700 Chip and LITE Version Limitations

Interestingly, compared to the standard (large) version, the HC3 Lite features a newer Z-Wave 700 series radio chip, making Z-Wave communication slightly faster and more power-efficient. However, to keep the price accessible, the Lite version has strict hardware and software limitations that you must consider before purchasing:

• Supports a maximum of 40 Z-Wave devices (perfect for 1 to 3-bedroom apartments).
• Allows the creation of a maximum of 40 automation scenes and supports adding only 1 IP Camera.
• It does NOT support other protocols like Zigbee or Bluetooth (it relies entirely on Z-Wave and WiFi LAN integrations).
• Connects to your home network exclusively via WiFi (2.4 GHz). It lacks a physical wired Ethernet (LAN) port.
• Reduced computing power (Single-core Cortex A7 processor and 512 MB RAM).

Just like its big brother, the Home Center 3 Lite boasts top-tier security and stability. All essential processes, scenes, schedules, and settings execute directly within the device's processor—meaning 100% locally. The device does not rely on a mandatory active internet connection or a remote cloud server to perform basic functions. Your private data stays in your house. If your internet provider has an outage, your motion sensors will still turn on the lights instantly.

Intuitive Mobile App and Scene Creation

The smart hub offers a gorgeous, award-winning mobile interface that allows you to manage your home from anywhere on Earth. It natively supports voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Installers and users will appreciate the visual block-scene programming, allowing you to drag and drop logic like: 'IF the front door sensor detects an opening AND it is after sunset -> THEN turn on hallway lights to 30%'.
