The ConBee 3 is a high-performance USB adapter that transforms your local server into a universal smart home hub, capable of communicating with hundreds of smart devices from hundreds of different brands. You no longer need to plug in 5 different plastic gateways for your Philips Hue bulbs, Xiaomi Aqara sensors, and IKEA blinds—the ConBee III controls them all seamlessly from one central point.

The ConBee III isn't a standalone box you plug into the wall. This USB stick is engineered to turn your PC, Raspberry Pi, Intel NUC, or Synology NAS into a universal Zigbee gateway. Simply plug the dongle into a USB port on your host machine running your favorite open-source platform. The ConBee 3 boasts phenomenal, native support across systems such as Home Assistant, deCONZ, Zigbee2MQTT, Node-RED, openHAB, ioBroker, FHEM, and Domoticz.

Zero Cloud. Maximum Privacy.

The ConBee 3 is built from the ground up for 100% local communication. Unlike commercial hubs, once your network is paired, you do not need an active internet connection. Your devices communicate locally and instantly with zero cloud lag. Absolutely none of your private data, sensor logs, or switch states are uploaded to foreign cloud servers.

What's New in Version III?

A massive generational leap that prepares you for the future of smart homes. The new iteration is driven by the top-tier SiLabs EFR32MG21 microcontroller. Aside from providing flawless signal amplification and native support for Zigbee 3.0 (and Zigbee Green Power), this chip also features a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module. This makes the ConBee 3 hardware-ready to act as an OpenThread Border Router and natively support the Matter standard (functionality rolling out via sequential firmware updates).

Extreme Range and MESH Networking

The standalone signal range of the USB dongle itself is up to 30 meters indoors (or a staggering 200 meters in a clear line-of-sight outdoors). Because the Zigbee standard natively supports MESH networking, every permanently powered device in your network (like smart bulbs and smart plugs in your rooms) acts as a signal repeater. This allows you to effortlessly expand coverage across massive multi-story homes or large backyards.
