Features of the Sonoff M5 Switch

The switch can be used primarily with the eWeLink app, but it can also be linked with ecosystems like Google Home or Alexa. This gives you access to voice control (if supported by your smart hub), scheduling, smart scenes, and multi-location lighting control.

Manual Control Available

Even though this is a smart switch, it still offers the traditional manual control you are used to. You won't have to explain to guests how to turn on the lights in your smart home. Furthermore, because the buttons use classic mechanical microswitches, the switch responds perfectly even if you have wet hands or are wearing gloves.

Adjust the LED Backlight to Suit You

Some people want the switch to be brightly lit, some prefer a dim light, and others want no light at all. There’s a setting for everyone. Adjust the button backlight intensity so you can find them at night without being disturbed while sleeping.

With these switches, you can control your lights not only via an app but also with your voice. Use Switches Alongside the Sonoff NSPanel

Sonoff also offers the NSPanel smart display. It is designed to match the M5 switches perfectly in style (however, it cannot be mounted inside the same shared frame).

Multi-Location Lighting Control

By correctly setting up M5 switches, or by adding an R5 controller, you can easily manage lighting from multiple locations. Having improperly installed wiring is no longer an issue. Simply connect, set up, and use.

Combine the Right Versions

Sonoff M5 switches are designed so you can build exactly what you need. If you need a standalone 1-gang switch, purchase the standalone M5 1-button version. If you need a 2-gang switch, there is a version for that too. The 3-gang version can help you save space, but you can also use the third button to trigger an entirely different automation.

For places where you need 2 or 3 switches side by side, choose the frame version of the switch and pair it with the appropriate multi-gang frame. The design of the two versions is almost identical, with the only difference being that the frame version is slightly narrower.
