FIBARO Digital Temperature Sensor DS-001 (4-Pack)

The Dallas DS-001 is a highly accurate digital temperature sensor boasting a programmable resolution from 9 to 12 bits (achieving a granular resolution of roughly 0.06 °C). This sensor acts as a direct wired accessory intended to interface with wireless Z-Wave modules—primarily the FIBARO Smart Implant or the legacy FIBARO Universal Binary Sensor.

Wide Measurement Range and Flexibility

Because of its miniature size (resembling a standard transistor component), it can easily be concealed or embedded inside walls, under floorboards for underfloor heating, or in cramped spaces wherever accurate temperature monitoring is required. The total measurement span ranges from a freezing -55 °C to a sweltering +125 °C, while maintaining an excellent accuracy of ±0.5 °C within the standard operating window (-10 °C to +85 °C).

Daisy-chaining Multiple Sensors

Unlike cheap analog probes, every digital DS-001 sensor features a unique factory-burned 64-bit serial code. This provides a massive wiring advantage: you can connect multiple sensors in parallel on the same single data bus of a FIBARO Smart Implant (up to 6 sensors per Smart Implant module). Your smart home hub will individually recognize each one and track multiple separate temperatures simultaneously.

Technical Details:

• Power Supply: The sensor operates on a 3V to 5.5V range, drawing parasitic power directly from the data line (no separate power adapter needed for the sensors themselves).
• What's inside: The package includes 4 raw electronic components (sensors) along with heat-shrink tubing to safely insulate the wired connections after soldering.
• Note: For outdoor use or submersion in water, additional waterproof potting/insulation is required, or a pre-encapsulated cabled version should be purchased instead.
