Faradite Motion Sensor 360 Pinhole – The Smallest in the World

Faradite is setting an entirely new standard in detector design with their groundbreaking Pinhole sensor. It is an ultra-discreet motion sensor designed for professional custom installations. This sensor is exclusively rear-mounted, meaning that the only part visible to the room is a tiny optical lens measuring an incredible 15 millimeters in diameter.

Where and How is it Installed?

This sensor is not designed for traditional drywall ceilings. It was developed to meet demands for invisible automation in locations where the installer has physical access to the rear of the mounting surface. It is the perfect solution for custom wooden wall paneling, hollow staircases, bespoke joinery, MDF boards, or custom-built wardrobes. The maximum supported panel thickness is 5 mm. Installation requires drilling a simple 15 mm hole. The solid metal body of the sensor features a threaded barrel with two nuts and an ultra-strong 3M VHB adhesive pad, allowing it to be securely stuck and locked permanently to the back of the material.

Volt Free Output (Dry Contact)

Don't be fooled by its miniature dimensions. Inside the robust housing lies exceptionally accurate hardware. In the Volt Free version, the sensor features a completely dry contact output. This makes it universally compatible with almost any smart home control system. You can wire the sensor directly into the binary inputs of modules like the FIBARO Smart Implant, Shelly Uni, Loxone hardware, or other binary contact readers.

Technical Specifications and Detection Range:

• Solid all-metal construction with screwless Push-Fit connectors (perfect for Cat5/Cat6 cables).
• Wide operating voltage range: 5V to 35V DC. Ultra-low power consumption of only 3 mA (at 24V).
• Detection Area (360°): When mounted at a height of 3 meters, it covers a floor area of roughly 8 meters in diameter. When installed vertically on a wall, it maintains a maximum forward range of 5 meters.
