This particular thermostat model is technically engineered to govern fan coils in a 2-pipe configuration. This implies the building's HVAC system utilizes a single shared supply and return pipe circuit, carrying either hot or chilled water depending on the season. The thermostat controls the main thermostatic valve on this circuit and features intelligent relay logic to manage 3 distinct fan speeds inside the fan coil unit (Low, Medium, High).
