DoorBird A1121 – IP Access Control (Retrofit Module)

The DoorBird A1121 is a compact, multi-technology access control system that makes carrying keys obsolete. It is designed to secure doors and garages in areas where installing a video intercom with a camera is either unnecessary or impossible.

This specific 'Retrofit' version does not include its own decorative stainless steel front plate. It is a barebone, purely technical module designed primarily for rear-mounting onto your existing cover plate, mailbox, fence pillar, or a custom-designed panel crafted by your local metalworker. The module is extremely flat, and all its buttons are backlit, so you simply align and 'glue' it behind the custom cut-outs on your panel.

Keypad, RFID Chips, and Bluetooth

This module combines 3 different hardware access technologies and functions completely autonomously (no expensive central controllers required):

• 125 KHz and 13.56 MHz RFID Readers: Unlocks via older key fobs as well as modern encrypted access cards (NFC).
• Illuminated Keypad: Entry via numeric PIN codes. All buttons glow, making access incredibly easy in the dark.
• Bluetooth (BLE): Integrated hardware (prepared for activation via a future firmware update).

Smart Schedules and API Integration

Connect the device to your network using WiFi or a standard Ethernet cable (with PoE support). Via the DoorBird mobile app, you can instantly create time-restricted access codes for visitors, cleaners, or Airbnb guests. The module features 2 independent built-in relays (e.g., relay 1 for the pedestrian gate, relay 2 for the driveway). Thanks to its Wiegand output and HTTP API commands, you can easily integrate it into third-party smart home setups (like Loxone).
