The button supports various pressing methods (single, double, triple, and long press), allowing you to assign a different action to each – for example: a single press to toggle lights, a double press for a favorite light scene, and a long press to arm or disarm an alarm.

Dual wireless connectivity enables flexible integration:

🔵 In Shelly BLU mode, you can trigger cloud-independent local scenes via Shelly gateways or Shelly Plus/Pro/Gen3/Gen4 series devices (excluding sensors) and control them via the Shelly Smart Control app.

🔗 In Zigbee mode, it pairs with popular central hubs such as Home Assistant (ZHA/Zigbee2MQTT), SmartThings, and others (features may vary depending on the hub used). This makes it an ideal solution for hybrid environments utilizing both Shelly and Zigbee technologies.

Thanks to the Beacon mode, the Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 ZB smart button becomes a powerful tool for location-based home automation. Using a script, it can trigger specific actions when entering or leaving the Bluetooth range. For instance, when you come within range, it can automatically turn on the lights to welcome you. Similarly, upon leaving the range, it helps save energy by turning off the lighting or adjusting temperature settings.
