The Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 is the successor to the highly popular SkyConnect. It is a powerful multi-protocol radio USB dongle that equips your Home Assistant server with a rock-solid and stable connection for both Zigbee and Thread devices (making it a critical cornerstone for Matter).

The heart of this USB stick is a Silicon Labs chipset (EFR32MG21). Out of the box, the adapter comes with Zigbee firmware (EmberZNet) pre-installed, ensuring true plug-and-play recognition the moment it’s connected to Home Assistant. The hardware also supports concurrent multi-protocol operation, meaning it can simultaneously run a Zigbee 3.0 network and function as a Thread Border Router using a single antenna.
