FIBARO Single Switch 2 (Relay with Built-in Metering)

The intelligent FIBARO Single Switch 2 (FGS-213) module is designed to be installed in standard flush-mount wall boxes directly behind traditional light switches (or anywhere else you need to wirelessly control an electrical circuit). This highly versatile Z-Wave Plus receiver allows you to turn high-load appliances on and off, handling currents up to 8A (approx. 1.8 kW at 230V).

For Lighting, Outlets, Fans, and Heaters

The applications for this module are remarkably broad. Because it is a direct 230V relay switch, it is absolutely perfect for controlling lighting circuits. The module works flawlessly with both standard toggle switches and momentary push buttons. Beyond lighting, you can comfortably use it to automate bathroom exhaust fans, trigger thermal actuators in an underfloor heating manifold, smart-switch specific wall outlets, or control water pumps.

Integrated Active Power Metering

Unlike the cheaper dry-contact versions (the 'Smart Module' line), the Switch 2 series delivers fully-fledged active energy consumption metering. Your smart hub will constantly display the real-time power draw of the connected appliance in Watts (W), as well as accumulated consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh). This gives you perfect insight into identifying the 'energy vampires' hiding in your home.

Smartphone Automation and Scenes

With the Single Switch 2, your hallway lights can automatically turn on when you arrive home, and the system can intelligently cut the power to a forgotten iron plugged into a smart outlet when you leave. Through controllers like the FIBARO Home Center, Homey, or Aeotec SmartThings, you can operate it from the other side of the planet using your smartphone. Naturally, your physical wall switch will continue to function normally.
