The Sonoff MINI-ZB1GP (MINI PM) is an ultra-compact Zigbee energy consumption meter that fits inside a standard wall box behind a socket or switch. It turns any existing socket or circuit into a smart metering point – with no visible modules and no change to how your home looks.
The device runs on Zigbee 3.0 and measures voltage, current, instant power and accumulated energy for loads up to 16 A – bidirectionally, which also makes it a useful choice for tracking the output of smaller photovoltaic systems.
Accurate data you can actually use
The eWeLink app shows your consumption history by hour, day and month for up to 180 days back, lets you export the data and calculates your electricity costs – both flat and time-of-use tariffs are supported. The device can also detect when a connected appliance (a washing machine or dryer, for example) has finished its cycle and send you a notification, with a configurable delay so that brief dips in power are not mistaken for a finished cycle.
Full electrical protection is built in – adjustable thresholds for overcurrent, overload, overvoltage and undervoltage, with an alert straight to your phone when one is crossed. Because it is permanently mains-powered, it also works as a Zigbee router and strengthens the signal for the other Zigbee devices in your home; with Turbo Mode enabled it reaches the gateway from up to 250 metres away.
