Nous D4Z is a device for measuring energy consumption in the home. It can measure a 3-phase connection up to 120A. Thanks to easy installation and Zigbee 3.0 support, it is a great component for monitoring consumption in TUYA, Home Assistant, or Homey* systems. It takes up only 18mm on a DIN rail and its own power consumption is just 1mW.

Suitable Energy Monitoring Beyond Households

Measuring consumption with Nous D4Z is so accurate and fast that in addition to common smart homes, it is also suitable for commercial spaces, hotels, apartments, or offices. The measurement accuracy allows for easy proportional monitoring, for example in rented commercial spaces or shops. Thanks to real-time measurement, this meter can also be used for DLB and managing surplus energy production.

Connecting Energy Consumption to Automation

The main advantage of this energy meter is that all real-time reported values can be used to control other connected Smart home devices.

This allows you, for example, to:

What is Required for This Device to Work?

Nous D4Z is a Zigbee TUYA device, which means it requires a compatible Zigbee gateway. This can be the Nous E1 unit, any other Tuya Zigbee hub, or systems like Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, or Homey PRO (app coming soon). The system you choose will also affect automation capabilities. Generally, if you need core measuring functions without advanced Smart Home features, TUYA is suitable. If you are serious about automation, look into Homey PRO.
