Danalock V3 SALTO Adapter – Mount to Your Existing Cylinder

Previously, if you wanted to enjoy the benefits of the Danalock V3 motorized smart lock, you were forced to completely replace your door's physical cylinder with a specialized expandable cylinder mechanism. Thanks to the highly innovative SALTO Adapter, you now have a much more flexible and cost-effective alternative.

This adapter acts as a specialized mounting backplate that allows you to install the Danalock V3 directly onto your door's original, existing Euro Profile cylinder lock.

How Does It Actually Work?

Instead of a bespoke metal tailpiece engaging the Danalock's rotation mechanism, your very own physical key will act as the driving shaft. You insert your standard key into the inside of your door. You (or a local locksmith) must then carefully cut off the key's bow (the head) and file the shaft down to a specific shape so it fits perfectly into the rear receiving slot of the Danalock V3 unit. The SALTO adapter plate is then screwed tightly directly onto the protruding lip of your cylinder, and the Danalock snaps onto this plate. When the lock's motor turns, it literally turns your modified physical key inside the lock.

Two Strict Requirements Before You Buy:

To successfully utilize this SALTO adapter, your current (existing) door cylinder MUST meet two rigorous technical preconditions:

• Minimum Overhang: The metal body of the cylinder must protrude from the inside face of your door by an absolute minimum of 3 millimeters. This 3 mm lip is required so the adapter plate can be clamped onto the cylinder body securely using grub screws.
• Emergency/Panic Function (BSZ): The cylinder must possess an emergency dual-entry function. Because your modified key will be permanently inserted on the inside of the door under the Danalock, it must still be possible to insert another key from the outside to lock or unlock the door mechanically. If your cylinder lacks this feature, you will be locked out if the Danalock’s batteries ever die.
