🔲 Smart WiFi Matter Switch Sonoff - Standalone Version - 1-Gang

The M5 smart switches with Matter support are a great new addition to our lineup. They have two major advantages that make them some of the best smart switches available.  

1. They support Matter, so you can use them in any Matter-compatible system.
2. They are available in both a standalone version and a frame version, solving the biggest problem with smart switches - installing multiple units side by side.

Sonoff decided to go with two versions during production. The first is a classic smart switch that you simply install into a wall box and use. This switch comes in 1, 2, or 3-button versions. The second version is the "frame" version. The switches are slightly narrower, and thanks to 2, 3, or 4-gang frames, you can install them where you have a 2, 3, or 4-gang box built into the wall. This wasn't possible with smart switches until now, making the M5 series truly unique.

Features of the Sonoff M5 Matter Switch

In addition to the aforementioned Matter protocol, which allows for mobile app control, voice control is available (must be supported by the control hub), as well as scheduling, smart scenes, and multi-location light control.

Matter Switch

The Sonoff M5 is among the first switches in our range to support Matter. Matter allows these switches to easily integrate into systems like Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, and other Matter-supported platforms. This gives you the freedom to decide which app to use to control your Sonoff M5 switches. A huge advantage remains that Matter allows these switches to connect with other devices, such as sensors.

Local Automation

Thanks to Matter communication, these switches can communicate locally without needing a cloud connection. This means faster response times and higher stability. Even if your internet connection goes down, these switches can still work with other Matter-certified devices.

Apple Home Switch via Matter

Matter support for the Apple Home ecosystem allows you to control the Sonoff M5 switches directly from your Apple Home app. If you use this app, you know what it’s capable of and how perfectly a switch like this fits into home automation.

Manual Control Also Available

Although this switch is smart, it still offers the regular manual control you are used to. You don't have to explain to anyone how to turn on the lights in your smart home. Furthermore, because the buttons use a classic microswitch mechanism, the switch responds even if you have wet hands or are wearing gloves.

Adjust the LED Backlight to Suit You

Some people want the switch to shine bright, some want it dim, and others don't want it to shine at all. There is a setting for everyone. You don't have to compromise—just adjust the backlight intensity so you can see the buttons at night without them disturbing you.

Siri, Alexa, Google, and Automation

With these switches, you can control your lights not only via the app but also using your voice. However, their true power lies in automation—where the lights can turn on as soon as you enter a room. Setting a timer to turn the lights on or off at a specific time is another excellent feature.

Use the Switches with Sonoff NSPanel

Sonoff also offers the NSPanel smart display for its smart home system. It is designed to match the aesthetics of the M5 switches and pairs well with them (however, it cannot be mounted in a shared frame).

Multi-Location Light Control

By properly setting up M5 switches or adding an R5 controller, you can easily control a light from multiple locations. Having poorly routed wiring is no longer a problem. Just connect, set up, and use.

Combine the Right Version for You

Sonoff M5 switches are designed so you can put together exactly what you need. If you need a single switch, you buy the standalone M5 version with 1 button. If you need a 2-gang switch, there's a version for that too. The 3-gang version can help you save space, but you can also use the third button to trigger other automations.

For places where you need 2 or 3 switches next to each other, choose the frame version of the switch and pair it with the appropriate frame. The designs of both versions are almost identical, with the only difference being that the frame version is slightly narrower.
